Sun/Thu 10:30am - 11:00pm
  Fri/Sat 10:30am - 12:30am

The famous chain store PappaRich has always been a crowd favourite when it comes to Malaysian food. With over 70 stores worldwide, 19 stores in Australia. PappaRich is that one store that everyone knows of when it comes to Malaysian food.

 Chicken Curry Laksa ($12.90)
Hokkien noodles in spicy coconut soup with chicken slices, tofu puffs, foo chok (beancurd skin), bean sprout, eggplants and fish cakes

An vast amount of ingredients, the coconut soup is delicious, noodles are well-cooked with 2 different  types of noodles, eggplants are soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. Though the dish was quite good, it didn't have that 'wow' factor which other curry laksa dishes I've tried gave me.

 Pappa Char Kaoy Teow ($12.90)
Wok-fried flat noodles with prawns, fish cakes, egg, bean sprouts and chives

Actually one of my favourite dishes here, I have a soft spot for Char Kaoy Teow, it's simply delicious and always satisfies my taste buds. Sadly this time around I felt that the seasoning was lacking, which made the overall flavour quite poor.

Hainan Toasted Bread w/ Condensed Milk ($4.90)

Literally bread, butter & Condensed milk. My friend ordered this as a side, I never really understood the appeal of this because I used to make this at home as a kid, but in a restaurant? not so sure.

Steamed Mantau w/ Curry Chicken ($8.90)
2 pieces or traditional Chinese steamed buns with curry chicken

A good treat is you're going for something light in quantity, the steamed buns work really well with the curry chicken as they soak up the sauce which creates a nice flavour.

  1. hi would you go there again if you could? What was the service like? I know you have to write your order down on a piece of paper. What I meant was the people side of things. Do you usually order drinks when you go to places like this? If you did this time what did you think of it?

    1. Hey Sally! I'm so sorry for the 3 month late reply, i didn't even know there was a comments section until I randomly clicked it just then.

To answer your question yes I would go again, i've been dining here quite often actually as it's a perfect place for students like myself to eat at.

The service is pretty average to be honest, with myself having to constantly remind staff about things like cups and cutlery as they always tend to forget.
Yes, i do order drinks at papparich but only occasionally as I feel the drinks aren't that great here.

Thanks for taking a look at my blog :)
